Kelsee & Yudit | Intimate California Backyard Wedding
Kelsee and Yudit are a beautiful couple, inside and out. There is so much love between them, and it’s obvious to see how much they mean to each other. They had an intimate backyard wedding at Kelsee’s parent’s house in Turlock, California on April 19th.
Kelsee + Yudit have a strong bond with all of the women in their life. Relationships are important to them, and theirs is very deeply based on friendship. More than the romance that I sometimes see between a man and woman, theirs is deep respect and trust built on a foundation of a feminine bond. Kelsee is the more outgoing of the two, and even though Yudit is a bit more shy, they bring out such amazing qualities in each other. They first met at a party six years ago, and everyone knew instantly that they were meant for each other.
Kelsee + Yudit are both very laid back, go-with-the flow type of women. They had an adventurous engagement session before the wedding, and also an adventurous bridal session at the ocean following the wedding with the lovely and talented Priscilla Banuelos Photography, who also captured their wedding day. I was so sad I wasn’t there for it!
For their first look, they both waited with their backs turned under the shade of a tree. When they counted to 3 and spun around to look at each other, the reaction from each of them was priceless. They fanned away tears and couldn’t get over how incredible it was to see each other ready to walk down the aisle.
The ceremony was so beautiful, from the touching vows to the live piano being played as Yudit and Kelsey walked down the aisle, with their parents on either arm. The joy on their faces when they slid rings onto each other’s fingers was amazing to witness, and their triumphant walk down the aisle once they were announced wife + wife made me smile so hard it hurt my cheeks. They were both so happy to bring their families together, and there was such a great energy throughout the whole day.
After the ceremony, we went to a park for portraits, and watching them walk hand in hand together while they twirled and smiled at each other was so sweet. we then headed over to Kelsee’s parent’s house for the backyard wedding reception.
The guests were having so much fun, and everyone pitched in to help put their celebration together. Their backyard wedding was beautiful, and the decor and styling could not have been more perfect. All of their friends helped out, and the wedding coordinator was also a friend of the family.
From the framed photographs of their adventurous engagement session to the matching wooden Mrs and Mrs signs on the table, every little element was them and so, so lovely.
This was such a successful DIY backyard wedding!
The entire evening was a blast! Kelsee’s sister gave a beautiful speech that had everyone in tears, and the other toasts were fun and heartwarming. Their first dance as a married couple as the sun streamed golden behind them was gorgeous. They ate, drank, and danced the night away, and ended the evening with a sparkler exit.
I love intimate backyard weddings, especially when a couple is so true to themselves, and to each other.
Kelsee + Yudit, congratulations on a beautiful new life together as wife and wife!
xoxo
